Doubles is one of Trinidad’s most iconic street foods.

Two soft pieces of bara, filled with spiced curried chickpeas, known as channa, and traditionally loaded with chutneys and pepper sauce.

Born from Trinidad’s Indo Caribbean food culture, it’s simple, messy and packed with flavour.

The new menu has arrived at The Good Front Room.

Launching Wednesday 9th September.

This next chapter brings together flavours and influences from Guyana, Trinidad and Guadeloupe, while still holding onto the Jamaican and St Lucian roots that have shaped The Good Front Room from the beginning.

Expect a new little plates and big plates concept, designed for sharing, tasting and building your own journey through the menu.

We’ve also worked hard to make the menu more accessible, with plenty of options across different price points whether you’re joining us for a few plates and drinks or settling in for the full experience.

New dishes. New influences. The same Good Front Room spirit.

Our jerk chicken is one of those dishes that has earned its place on the menu.

Marinated with scotch bonnet, thyme, pimento and Caribbean spices, then smoked in our Bertha oven until the skin catches, the edges char and the meat stays tender and juicy.

It is bold, smoky, spicy and packed with flavour, served with plantain jam and finished with crisp plantain for sweetness and crunch.

A Good Front Room classic. The kind of dish that disappears from the plate far too quickly.
