Celebrating Santa Lucia of Sicily with a delicious Sicilian tradition: Arancine & Cuccìa ! 🌟

✨ These golden rice balls remind us of faith, resilience, and the light that Santa Lucia represents. May her story inspire us to shine bright and share warmth with others.

✨In honour of Santa Lucia, we’ll be serving Cuccìa, a special Sicilian dish made primarily from boiled wheat berries. Symbolizing faith, gratitude, and light.

During a severe famine in Sicily, the people prayed to Santa Lucia for help. On her feast day, a ship full of wheat miraculously arrived at the port of Palermo. The starving population, not taking time to grind the wheat into flour, boiled the grains and ate them plain or with simple ingredients.
