And just like that ….we are 10 years old and we are celebrating. We don’t want to waste much time speaking about the challenges of running a independent cafe in this date and time , having been here for 10 years is already a victory and we want to focus on that. We thank all of you for your support and allowing us to be a little bit more than a place that sells food and drinks. We are so glad to have Wellington from cooking a feijoada with us, we helped organize his little tour in Europe the same way we used to organize hardcore punk gigs, thanks to a web of connections we made trough the years, we are glad that there are people in this world working on the margins of capitalism, doing things for passion. We are also thrilled to have playing their first ever acoustic set , we have seen them live many times but we look forward to see them doing something different on Friday. Lastly we will have , one of our favorite rappers, always with dope productions and politically charged lyrics. This is gonna be a casual and relaxed night, it will be busy so please come early if you want to eat. Food will be served from 6 to 8 and is donation based, all the money goes to pay artists and Wellingtons plane tickets, still in this for the passion, remember? Hope to see you then 😀

And just like that is her birthday again, and as every year we can’t help but think what we would do without her, thanks very much for everything you do and have done to keep this boat afloat for the last 10 years. Pop in this Friday to celebrate our 10th Anniversary party and to wish Carla a belated happy birthday!!

Please join us this Friday 18th of August from 18.30 for the opening of exhibition. You might know Nacho as he works in the kitchen here at the cafe, he has been asking to hang his “art” on our walls for a long time and we succumbed to his persistence. Loads of originals and prints for sale to finance the purchase of sharpies.

Hello hello hello !!! Black cat is going on holidays from the 21st and 31st of August but fear not, the rumors were true, you still come and eat at the cafe as the gang is taking over the following days and times :

-Sat 26th & Sunday 27th 10-5
-Wednesday 30th 6 pm-10pm
Get ready to enjoy Rebecca’s unapologetically tasty food , strongly influenced by Mexican cuisine but not only. She is planning to offer burgers, tostadas, doughnuts and I heard that even a fry up. For bookings, menu information and other enquires hit them up directly.
