🌿
We'll be launching this year's 🤜BUMPS🤛 Green Hop Golden Ale🌿 in a few weeks. This year we worked with the wonderful artist and old friend of Villages and Salthouse bottles, .art to create this amazing artwork in celebration of 10th Birthday 🥳
Maia’s practice focuses on the body, landscape and storytelling, with a particular interest in how communities form within inherited and communal imaginations. She works across a variety of media including ceramics, textiles, print and sound. Currently in her final year at Goldsmiths, University of London, she is due to graduate from BA Fine Art in June 2027.
The BUMPS artwork is based on elevation maps of South East London and depicts the spaces travelled through and lived in by the communities of Salthouse Bottles and Villages, who celebrate the b**r’s release each year. The hills and valleys collide as overlapping shapes resembling biological forms. Translucent layered contours become figures which mingle and interact beyond their previous cartographic function. The bumps between us are celebrated as the means by which we come together.
🤜BUMPS🤛 will be launching in a few weeks at our 🌿Green Hop Cask Fest🌿, 15th to 18th of OCT, alongside some extra special fresh green hop and other limited casks. Join us for singing, dancing, pub snacks, pub games, and CONKERS!
