The Common Espresso Bar is an independent coffee shop in Clapham Common that serves high-quality artisan coffee, freshly made juices, and friendly customer service. We are located just around the corner from Clapham Common station, so you can grab a delicious coffee-to-go along with a homemade pastry from the early hours of the morning. Our indulgent lunch menu features warm cheesy toasties, brie,

and crispy bacon ciabattas to our best-selling vegan sausage roll. Our house blend is Bright Note, a refreshingly bright, uplifting coffee designed to awaken the senses. A carefully crafted blend of coffees from family farms including Timana Colombia and Primavera Brazil. Our coffees contain double shots of espresso or customize your cup of happiness with fewer or more shots. We provide milk alternatives such as almond, oat, soya, coconut, and lactose-free. We also offer a wide range of hot and cold drinks from organic loose leaf teas to freshly squeezed juices for everyone to enjoy. Wifi is available for our customers. You’re welcome to bring a laptop for a chilled vibe to work in. Our coffee shop is pet-friendly, so if you’re on your daily walk with your dog, come by and receive a special doggy treat for your pup on your visit. The Common Espresso Bar is committed to taking care of the environment. We pride ourselves on being eco-friendly and plastic-free. We use 100% recyclable coffee cups, biodegradable straws and offer our recycled coffee grounds to customers for compost. We hope to bring you the best flavour out of every cup of coffee. The Nata Brûlée Cloud was created in memory of someone very special to us 🤍

Our inspiration came from a much-loved regular who visited our café daily for his favourite cappuccino and pastel de nata. Over time, he became part of our coffee shop family, and his warmth and kindness left a lasting mark on all of us.

The weekend would have been his birthday, so we wanted to honour the simple ritual he loved most: good coffee, good conversation, and a pastel de nata shared in good company.

More than just a signature drink, the Nata Brûlée Cloud is a tribute to comfort, community, and the people who make cafés feel like home ☁️
