WE CLOSED OUR SHOREDITCH CHAPTER.

After so many years at Protein Studios, the time has finally come for us to say goodbye and honestly, it feels a little like leaving a second home.

Our little café there grew into a true community space: full of warmth, familiar faces, and the kind of everyday connections that make running a café feel like a privilege, not a job. We’re really going to miss that… and all of you.

We’ve served more coffee and cake than we could ever count and yes, Emma absolutely knows she’s been a full-time cookie 🍪 supplier to half of Hackney. The counter chats, the regular orders we knew by heart, the morning greetings that brightened every day those are the things we’ll carry with us.

But this isn’t the end not even close. It’s a new beginning, one that sets us up so much better for the long term. No more sudden closures, no more logistical puzzles, just a steadier and stronger future for Oat and everything we want to keep building.

And although we’re leaving the Protein space, we truly hope we’re not losing the people. We’d love to see you at our Brick Lane shop. Same coffee, same cake, same heart just a different spot to come by.
