🤠🔥BIG COUNTRY/FOLK ANNOUNCEMENT🔥🤠

The brilliant Shawn Hess and Derek Dames Ohl fly over from Wyoming and Colorado to give you a night of authentic country and folk music.

This is part of a very exciting 'Fall Tour' across the UK and we are delighted to welcome both to our little pub in Upminster ❤️

Shawn Hess is a country western folk musician from Laramie, Wyoming who has been releasing albums and touring the US over the last 7 years. His latest album ‘Wild Onion’ received high praise from publications around the world including in Country People Magazine based out of the UK. ‘Wild Onion’ was also chosen by BandCamp as one of the top albums of 2024. Shawn has been featured on many YouTube channels focusing on western and folk music, most notably, he has done three video sessions with Western AF. Hess’ solo sets are intimate, honest, often hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. His wit and sincerity shines through his songcraft and performances.

Named a top 10 under the radar artist to keep your eye on by Nashville’s own Music Mecca. Derek Dames Ohl, hailing from Boulder Colorado, is a trader of songs for fans of John Prine or Blaze Foley, Derek has released multiple projects in the past decade including his latest Songwriter record “Someday I’ll Be Happy” as well as the “Dumb Drunk & Anxious” EP, recorded at acclaimed Nashville studio The Bombshelter. Ping ponging back and forth across the globe playing nearly 200 shows a year has allowed Derek to hone his chops writing songs along the way. Some notable artists Derek has played along with, or opened for include, Willis Alan Ramsey, Amy Helm, Arlo McKinley, Jamie Wyatt, Joshua Ray Walker, Emily Nenni, Melissa Carper, Kassi Valazza, Larry Keel, Brudi Brothers and many many more.

All those nights you enjoy whether its the live music, quiz nights, open mic as well as procuring the next best b**rs for our offering. It doesn't happen without him

It's been a huge year for us with securing Taproom - Leigh and we know he'll do wonders there too

I'm sure he was anxious about what photo was going to be used and trust us there are some shockers...but we woke up in a good mood 😉
