It is with much sadness that Georges cafe is now permanently closed, this is NOT due to the current pandemic but a change in the vision for how those in church leadership serve it's local community, the rebranding and refocusing of its efforts to connect with the local business community and professionals is an ambitious project, we wish them well.

If you are looking to connect with a local church, then locally I can recommend several, if you are looking for a great cup of coffee in chilled surroundings, i can also recommend a few, let me know if i can be of help.

I will let this page run until the end of June 2020 then close it down

The team from George’s Cafe wish all our customers old or older a very Happy Christmas, may this time of celebration bring you joy, peace and happiness.

As most of you know the main part of the Church was closed “ because the ceiling is about to fall in” the great news is that this is not the case and I’m told they will actually be back in this Sunday for the annual nativity service.

Rumour has it that the new people on the queens square block may look at reopening a cafe in the new year, I’m not sure what that might look 👀 like but I will post again when I hear more.

Dear George’s café customers…

It is with huge regret that I have to inform you that we are closing the Café on the 4 th October 2019.

You will have noticed that the main part of the Café/Church has been closed for almost a year, this was initially closed for Health and Safety reasons .In order for the investigation works to commence on the ceiling the contractors will need access through the café and Church. We are advised that for Heath and Safety reasons we must close the café space. Once this investigation work had finished we will be able to advise you if and when the Café may reopen.

George’s Cafe in Holborn, London, were the very first coffee shop to partner with us and have been serving our single origin Finca Buena Vista (El Salvador) since November! They also stock a variety of our retail offerings and keep cups. Best espresso in central London hands down! Check them out 😃☕️🐻👍🏻
