EST. 1721 – The Duke of Hamilton

The Duke of Hamilton pub takes its name from the 4th Duke of Hamilton, a man known for pride, ambition, and indulgence. In 1712, he fought a deadly duel with Lord Mohun over an inheritance. Both men were fatally wounded, ending their lives in Hyde Park.

Though tragic, this story inspired the creation of the pub, keeping their tale alive. Today, The Duke of Hamilton is the only public house in the country to bear his name—a place where history, good drinks, and great company come together.
