Sometimes it's easier to send a joke than admit how we're really feeling. But according to Bupa's research, 51% of adults say they're "fine" when they're not. 34% stay quiet because they don't want to worry the people they love, and 30% don't speak up because they don't want to feel like a burden.

Sometimes the things we share say more than the things we don't.

🏃‍♀️ Manchester Half marathon day is almost here! If you're running this Sunday, remember that preparation can go a long way. 💙

Bupa MSK physiotherapist Fionnuala shares her top tips for the big day:
✅ Be prepared and know your pace
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Most importantly, enjoy the experience

The atmosphere will be incredible, but sticking to a plan and listening to your body can help make the day feel that bit more enjoyable from start to finish. 🙌

☕ Last week, residents in our care homes up and down the country came together to host their own Macmillan Coffee Mornings, raising money for an incredible cause while enjoying plenty of tea, cake and great company.

From helping to bake delicious treats to sharing them with friends, family and neighbours, it was wonderful to see so many people getting involved and making memories along the way. 🍰✨

Beyond raising money, the coffee mornings also provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect, socialise and spend quality time together, something that's so important for wellbeing and building a sense of community.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the events and helped raise funds.

🏃‍♀️ Ever spent more time worrying about what to wear for a run than the run itself?

Claire remembers feeling self-conscious when she first started running, often choosing clothes that helped her blend in rather than what felt most comfortable.

Now she'd tell any new runner the same thing: wear whatever helps you feel good. Show your legs, don't show your legs, it's completely your call.

The only thing that matters is getting out there. 💙

What a lovey morning we had at the local bowling alley in Romford Namco Funscape they were very accommodating and the residents had such a wonderful time 🎳🎳👍🤩🤗😘😘

Another lovely afternoon at Havering Court with a visit from the Pomeranian Doggies 🐶🐾🤗🤗
All the Residents,relatives and staff really enjoyed meeting them again and having lots of cuddles,the residents have already asked if we can have them back next month 🐶🐾🤗😊😘😘

This afternoon we had the pleasure of being entertained by a new singer at Havering Court the lovely Mouse Anthony, not only did he sing beautifully but he also made us all laugh,he interacted with all our residents and relatives and the feedback we got from our residents and relatives was so nice.
We can’t wait to have Mouse Anthony back at Havering Court.

We have had a lovely day today here at Havering Court celebrating Roald Dahl Day with Karaoke time
We had a visit from Miss Spider, Ladybug and Grasshopper from James & the Giant Peach and Grandad from Charlie and the chocolate factory and in the afternoon we had the pleasure of listening to Siobhan Walsh who yet again entertained us all with her beautiful voice and wonderful songs we all had a wonderful time 🍑🍫🕷️🐞🐜🍑🍫👍🤗😊😘

🎭☀️ A Sensational Summer Show! ☀️🎭

Residents, relatives and staff enjoyed the Rah Rah Theatre Company Summer Sensations Show. 🤩🎶💖

The show was full of energy, laughter and entertainment, with plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved. The entertainers were wonderfully comical, and their interaction with our residents had everyone smiling and laughing. 🎭🥰
