Coaches Thoughts
Hi Redhawks Fans,
We are half way through the off season so far but there has been plenty of preparation for next season happening in the back ground. Firstly with building the team for next season, as you would of seen in recent announcements, the team for the coming season is pretty much there and I am pleased at what I have put together. We have retained most of the core and in my opinion many members that are the heart and soul of this club. On top of this I highlighted areas I think we maybe lacked last year and in my opinion I have addressed those areas adding players that will really compliment our style and help us put together another successful campaign. Next season I am expecting us to be a hard working team that comes to compete and battle every night, I want everyone buying in to being a difficult team to play against while our skilled players show their flare and creativity with their offensive play.
We had some great success last season winning 3 trophies and I’m proud of how we finished the season but next season is a new season, a new team and I really want to get my hands back on that League trophy. Every season has its ups and down as well as challenges and I’m excited to see how this group navigates these situations.
As well as building the team, there has been plenty of work that has gone into the off ice side of the club, we have fresh new jerseys which I believe some are still available for own and loan, as well as organising ice time, fixtures and equipment. We have retained some great sponsors from last season and we will also be welcoming new ones to the club and I want to thank all of this years sponsors for their support.
Lastly, I would like to thank the supporters and volunteers for their support last season, it is appreciated by players and staff and we can’t wait to be playing in front of you all again come September! Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you all soon.
