Our Team. Over the years we would be nowhere without our team. We have worked alongside some truly wonderful people - you know who you are and we THANK YOU for everything 🙏 🙌🏻
Our reviews over the years have always mentioned our lovely friendly professional service, and that always made us just as happy and proud as reading that you enjoyed our food 💯
We cannot say goodbye without an extra special mention to the last three remaining team members who are with us as we close the doors today…. Maria, Thalonja and Fabrice our hearts are so full of love for you guys who have not only worked with us for so long (something very unusual in the transient world of hospitality in London) but who have made these last 7 months not only possible, but bearable. From back in March when you coped so wonderfully with a rapidly changing world when we were stuck out of the country, right up to today. You have continued going with the same amount of passion, professionalism and loyalty that you have shown throughout. We have been so very very lucky to have had you with us on this journey 😍.

Having saluted our great suppliers, it’s now time to thank you, our wonderful customers 🙏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙏🏻.
We have met so many great people along the way, some of who have now become great friends of ours and will continue to be a big part of our new life in France 🇫🇷.
Thank you to you all for your support over the years - we will miss you and hope that we will see some of you either to stay, or for a coffee (or perhaps a walnut snaps 😜) if you are passing through France.

A big shout out to 🥃
Yes I know this is patting ourselves on the back as it is our company, but we are so proud of what we have grown with this and how so many of our SNAPS + RYE customers have enjoyed it over the years.
From the original Smoked Rye Bread Snaps, through to all the flavours we have now that have been enjoyed at so many lunches, dinners, in cocktails, at events, parties and more.
It’s not the end of the road for The Danish Snaps Co. we are taking it to France where I think the Walnut Snaps will have to become our signature drink, as there is a 50 walnut tree orchard at 🌳 🌳

Our cult kedgeree would never have been the same without these eggs from -court. Right from the start we have used them in all of our dishes and people always asked us where they were from - not just because they tasted so good but also because they looked so tasty 🧡🍳
We have always been very happy to spread the word and convert people for life to these eggs, as I promise once you try them, you won’t go back 😋.
Yes they cost a little more than some eggs - but they taste so much better and certainly were a part of what made our dishes so great.
Kell and Jacqueline will be keeping chickens - they have a lot to live up to 😂🐓💯

Not a food supplier this time, but the supplier of our wonderful crockery certainly deserves a mention here in this round up of everyone that has helped shape SNAPS + RYE.
We chose Anne Black crockery to use in the restaurant as we wanted something different and from Denmark. We so clearly remember a research day spent at their studio in Copenhagen choosing all of the table settings - it was so exciting.
Over the years these ceramics have received so many positive comments and have showcased our food so beautifully. Plus it has been so very hard wearing, standing up to the demands of the restaurant and the constant commercial pot washing.
Thanks Anne and Jesper, it has been wonderful working with you and this isn’t the end - all of these ceramics are going with us to home where we will continue to enjoy using them for events, supper clubs and for everything else that we have planned there 💙

From the very beginning, and Jonas have been so supportive of us and for that camaraderie we salute you 🙌🏻🙏🏻.
Through their wholesale operation they have kept us in Herrings, Danish Shrimps, delicious Gamle Ole and Riberhus cheeses. plus so much more.

Our next supplier shout out is to butchers who have supplied us with meat since we started. From delicious steak for our tartare, pork for our Danish Christmas flæskestej, bacon and hogs pudding for our classic Full Danish breakfast dish to pork and veal mince for probably our most loved dish on the menu - Frikadeller Danish Meatballs.
A special mention to delivery driver Ian who we always had such a laugh with and to Scarlett who looked after all of our queries so efficiently.
And the best news for you guys - they don’t just deliver to restaurants, you can order online for delivery to - can’t promise you will get Ian delivering to you though 😂

It’s our last week at SNAPS + RYE and we wanted to say thank you to some of our wonderful suppliers over the years….
First a big thank you to who have supplied the most wonderful Var Salmon fillets from the Faroe Islands 🐟.
Our delicious salmon became a favourite for so many. We both cured and smoked it with a secret cure recipe of snaps and spices and smoked it in our own smoker that Kell built.
The smoker is moving to SW France with Kell and Jacqueline, not sure what salmon availability will be like down there but they are sure to be smoking plenty of other tasty foods .

After 18 years here at 93 Golborne Road (6 as SNAPS + RYE and 12 years prior to that as Kell Skött Haircare) it’s now time for us to say goodbye.
This crazy year has bought our journey on this road to an end, and we will be closing our doors on Sunday 11th October.
We want to thank all of you (customers and team members) for all your support over the years, especially during these last 6 months ❤️.
We will of course shed a tear when we serve our last customer, but it is now time for a change and something new for us.
