Mum, I made it onto the FT 🥹 (with my grandma 🤍)
Writing this from India feels special and fitting. We’ve just spent time with the chaiwalas and farmers who make this whole thing possible. I started Amala Chai at the age of 24 with more heart than plan, and honestly no real clue what I was getting into. Seven years later, the brand has grown, changed, and found its own rhythm — but the core has always stayed the same.
This has never just been about tea. It’s about culture, identity, and the journey of being in the Indian diaspora. It’s about sourcing with intention, backing farming communities, and building something slowly, on our own terms.
No investors. No shortcuts. Just a damn good cup of chai, people, and purpose.
And we’re only just getting started. About to release the most exciting project we’ve ever worked on 👀☕️
Thank you
