Our dog 🐶 of the week.

Wendy wanted a Polaroid to go on our doggy wall of fame but I struggle with modern technology and couldn’t get the camera to work😩.

Bit of local history. This is Putney Town F.C. Football Club pictured in 1912. The picture was taken on Putney Common opposite The Spencer Arms.

At the time this photo was taken the landlord was Thomas Sullivan who was born in 1869 in Auckland, New Zealand. Sullivan was a Professional Sculling Champion of England (1893).

Putney Town FC are keen to research more about the club but in particular the men who played in the team (identified names in the photograph), we suspect many of them went to serve in WW1.
