February 3rd is Setsubun, a traditional Japanese day marking the end of winter 👹
On this day, we eat Ehomaki, a special and extra-long sushi roll.
When eating Ehomaki, you face the lucky direction of the year to bring good fortune.
This year’s lucky direction is South-Southeast (SSE) ✨
Our Ehomaki is filled with:
sweet simmered shiitake mushrooms, spinach, crab stick, fluffy omelette, eel, sakura denbu, cucumber, and kampyo.

February 3rd is ‘SETSUBUN’ which is a traditional day in Japan to celebrate the last day of winter.
On this day, we eat ‘EHOMAKI’ which is a unique type of sushi roll and it is relatively long and big compared to usual sushi rolls.
When you eat Ehomaki, you need to face the direction that is believed to bring you good fortune during the year. The direction changes every year and it’s EAST-NORTH-EAST in 2024.
