Breakfast has long had its place at Simpson’s. After all, when we first opened in 1828, coffee and chess were already part of the order of the day.

Nearly two centuries later, mornings in the Grand Divan bring omelette arnold bennett, grilled kippers with mustard butter, smoked haddock kedgeree and plenty of viennoiserie. Tea and coffee, naturally.

Yes, she’s a daughter of our own Jeremy King, but Margot is a powerhouse in her own right. A senior vice president of creative strategy at United Talent Agency and co-owner of People’s, the bar, restaurant and gallery in New York’s Greenwich Village, Margot joined us for lunch at Romano’s with her friend and business partner emmet.
