Experience the colour, rhythm and soul of Brazil with Mario Bakuna Quartet as Brazilian Landscapes comes to BREAD & ROSES The Theatre, London.

From samba and bossa nova to forró, baião and ijexá, expect an immersive journey through Brazil’s rich musical landscapes — brought to life with Brazilian swing and jazz sophistication.

This concert is the synthesis of years of inspiration drawn from Bakuna’s travels across Brazil, where he immersed himself in the country’s rhythmic and harmonic diversity. From the arid landscapes of the Northeast - echoed in the driving choruses of Forró, Baião, and Xaxado - to the African heritage expressed in Ijexá, the popularity of Samba, and the refined elegance of Bossa Nova, Mario Bakuna and his musicians celebrate one of the richest musical territories on Earth.

Brazilian Landscapes comes to the Bread & Roses on Friday 16 October.

Join Mario Bakuna and his band for an evening of Brazilian jazz, samba, bossa nova, forró and baião, with music inspired by the incredible rhythmic and musical diversity of Brazil.

Featuring Mario Bakuna on acoustic guitar and vocals, Felippe Oliveira on electric guitar, Fernando Demarco on bass and Emilio Martins on drums.

What’s on at The Bread & Roses this week 👀

Live Band Karaoke is back Friday, Super Lemon Cherry bring the funk on Saturday and the Blues Jam is back Sunday. Plus football on the screens, a tasty menu and all your fave drinks.

And The Lambeth Fringe officially opens this Thursday 24 September, with a jam packed programme of theatre, comedy, family shows and more until 25 October. Have a nosy at the programme and see what takes your fancy!
