Introducing Howl! 🤍 💙
Beautiful, dramatic, endless energy, and somehow still the sweetest little soul.
Named after Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, he arrived with all the qualities of his namesake: breathtaking good looks, a flair for theatrics, and absolutely no interest in being told what to do. 💅✨
Howl was a furry firework from the moment he stepped paw into the café.
Naptime? An outrageous suggestion. Sitting still? Never heard of it. 🙀
Like the wizard himself, Howl’s story began with a move. He came to us from a loving family home in Greenwich and when changes in his family’s circumstances meant they could no longer give him the care he needed, the cafe could help him start a new chapter. 🤍 It’s never an easy decision to give up a cat so I am glad Lady Dinah’s was able to help!
As he was a similar age to Poirot, we hoped he would quickly settle in with the younger boys. At first, his enthusiasm was a little overwhelming, especially for Poirot, who wasn’t entirely convinced that being surprise pounced on every five minutes was the basis of a friendship. 😹
But over time, Howl has found his place. He’s learned the rhythms of café life, made friends with the other cats, and become a firm favourite with guests. These days, he’s still full of sparkle and curiosity but can often be found snoozing in a hammock or picnic basket 💤 💤
Though if you ask us, we suspect his real goal has always been quite simple...He just wants an invitation to join Poirot’s polycule. 🥰
