WEEKEND HEAD WAITER / SUPERVISOR
Starfish & Coffee – Palmers Green

We’re looking for someone aged 23+ with a strong personality, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. You should have solid experience in waitering, supervising staff and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate:
Has proven experience in waitering and supervising a team
Is confident leading a busy front-of-house service
Has a strong personality and natural leadership skills
Is friendly, professional and customer-focused
Can stay calm, organised and positive under pressure
Has excellent communication and people skills
Is fluent in English – this is essential
Takes pride in delivering a great guest experience
Is reliable, proactive and able to take responsibility during busy weekend shifts

This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy restaurant, leading a team and making sure every customer leaves happy.

If you’re an experienced hospitality professional who loves the energy of a busy brunch and cocktail environment and thinks you have what it takes to lead the floor, we’d love to hear from you!

And we are off starting this Friday and every Friday through to August a selection of our resident dj’s will be bringing funk, soul, Afro House and Balearic tunes from 5pm till 10pm. Starting this week we are spoiled with our amazing Steve Greene funking it up. Don’t forget Tapas also will be served while the terrace is open and you can watch the sunset! Sunday 15th March

This Mothers Day we will be serving our amazing French toast with poached rhubarb, cardamon, Chantilly cream & meringue kisses. We will also be bringing back for this special day our Salmon Benny! Our 48hr cured beetroot Salmon, on top of our hand made crunchy Rosti and the best Hollandaise sauce-period! Prosecco will also be available upon arrival to pre book via reservations through our online booking system

So get your reservation in as we are already half full and I don’t want you all to miss out on this special treat. Please message us if you have problems booking and we will try our best to make it work as reservations will be open till 4pm!

We are bringing our first ever - kids DJ Workshop! That’s right-our first ever bruh! Led by one of our first resident DJs from back in the day in collaboration with Mission London. This beginner-friendly session is perfect for children 10-15 years old curious about music and DJing. In this introductory workshop they’ll learn the basics of mixing on digital decks, blending tracks, understanding rhythm and how DJs build a set. Parents can relax with a coffee or brunch while the session runs — or drop off and collect at the end.
Spaces are limited and participants must fill in the booking form then pay online to secure a place or just rock up last minute and we will fit you in!

Valentine Saturday 14th February

Will be serving our Special French toast for this one day only! Spoiling you with poached rhubarb, cardamon, Chantilly cream & meringue kisses. We will have a local florist Kahura who will be selling flowers at the front of the shop on the day so no excuses for forgetting to spoil your special someone on the day!

We will be releasing our first special menu in the evening with our Korean steamed Bao Buns! Everything will be made in house so get ready to spoil yourself plus have a few cocktails!

It’s our Jubilee!
We first opened Starfish in 2015 not knowing what adventures were ahead of us and here we are 10 years later! The struggle we all faced during lock down and the hospitality sector crash we are still here today and rocking thanks to our amazing team. They are Danny, Erini, Noella, Gil aka ‘Papa’ and of course our rock of the team Head Chef ‘Ingrid’

We want to share this momentous occasion and celebration by inviting you to join us for our new Sunday Brasserie menu. This menu will be serving Sundays from 2-4pm.
