Well well well, what have we got here?

Focaccias have turned up and are tasting splendid

I've gone for the tuna crunch which is a delicious combination of tuna, Italian egg mayo, anchovies, capers, onions, tomatoes and lambs lettuce on the consistently scrumptious focaccia.

I think this might actually be my favourite time of year to do this job.

Autumn has properly arrived in Hither Green and, for once, Iā€™m not complaining about the darker mornings.

Because when the sun does come up, the light down at the station is something else. Low golden sunshine, crisp cold air, coffee machine steaming away and that very specific feeling that summer has definitely packed up and left.

And with that comes the autumn specials.

Pumpkin Spice Latte if you want the full seasonal experience.

Pecan Pie Flat White if you want something a bit different.

Salted Maple Latte if you want something rich, warming and dangerously easy to get used to.

All made with the same Old Spike coffee, Estate Dairy milk as standard, and available with oat if you like.

Thereā€™s also the usual line up of flat whites, cappuccinos, americanos, filter coffee and everything else.

And if coffee alone isnā€™t enough, there are pastries and bakes on the counter too, plus the focaccias from Wednesday to Friday.

I know everyone mourns the end of summer, but there is something pretty great about this bit of the year.

Cold hands around a hot cup.

That ridiculous golden morning light.

Leaves starting to turn.

And an entirely legitimate excuse to put maple syrup in your coffee before 8am.

Iā€™m here for it.

It is bleddy ansem out here today.

A bit brisk but lovely sun, simply perfect weather for a latte and a piece of delicious banana bread.

All the core four pastries are out and we have a special guest the almond croissant mistakenly delivered this morning but a happy mistake.

Tomorrow is Wednesday which means for catches our back. They will be here Wednesday to Friday. You can grab it for catcher a drink and a bag of Torres crisps for Ā£11.50 in the Bolla Bolla meal deal.

Come down, grab a deck chair wrap yourself in a cozy blanket have a big delicious salted maple latte and I shall see you at the tuk!
