Showing here, an Indian dagger with zoomorphic hilt, second half of the 16th century, Deccan, Bijapur or Golconda

Combining Indian and Persian symbols of power, a similar dagger is illustrated being worn by Sultan 'Ali 'Adil Shah of Bijapur (r. 1558–80).

Rapier of Prince-Elector Christian II of Saxony (1583–1611), hilt by Israel Schuech, blade by Juan Martinez

The only recorded hilt by Schuech, showing the exceptionally lavish work in jewellery, works of art and arms and armour for which the Dresden Court was so famous.

An exceptional pair of silver-mounted flintlock pistols by Samuel Brunn, London, 1801-2, the mounts marked for Michael Barnett, probably made for Prince Regent, later King George IV (1760-1840)

Perhaps the most lavishly known English pistols of the period, epitomising the opulence and sophistication of the English decorative arts produced during the reign of the Prince Regent.
