French dining at its finest 🇫🇷✨
If you’re looking for a classic French restaurant in London, La Petite Auberge is one to add to your list. Every dish was beautifully executed, from the elegant starters to the indulgent desserts, all paired with warm, attentive service.
Here’s what we enjoyed:
🐌 Escargots à l’Alsacienne – served in their shells with rich garlic, lemon & parsley butter⭐️
🐙 Grilled Octopus – with silky sweet potato purée⭐️
🥩 Entrecôte Grillée – 8oz chargrilled rib-eye steak with French fries & garlic butter⭐️
🦐 Gambas aux Piments – king prawns pan-fried with butter, paprika, garlic & peppers, served with rocket and pilaf rice⭐️
🥞 Crêpe Suzette – flambéed tableside with zesty orange sauce, Grand Marnier & vanilla ice cream
🍮 Crème Brûlée
🍸 Espresso Martini
🍹 Negroni
⭐️= My highlights
The starters were a beautiful introduction to the meal. The escargots were swimming in the most incredible garlic and parsley butter, perfect for soaking up every last drop, while the octopus was tender and paired so well with the creamy sweet potato purée.
For mains, the rib-eye was cooked perfectly, seasoned beautifully and finished with a generous dollop of garlic butter that made every bite even better. The king prawns were packed with flavour, and even the fragrant pilaf rice deserved a mention.
Watching the Crêpe Suzette being freshly prepared tableside was the perfect way to end the evening. Light, citrusy and just the right amount of indulgent for a summer night.
A special mention to the team too, who were so welcoming and attentive throughout the evening. A truly lovely dining experience that I’d happily recommend.
