Rooftop sparkling wine tasting! 🥂
English Sparkling wine is here and it is absolutely incredible, why it isn’t on every menu and every bar and pub, I do not know. With the changing climate and the perfect conditions for vineyards in the South of England, English wine is something to be truly excited and proud to be British about.
And then there’s the wine itself! Paired intentionally with the spice and depth of Trinco’s dishes, each glass came alive in a different way. British sparkling wine, when it’s done this well, is DIVINE. Available at Dulwich, and soon, Sutton!
Last Thursday, we hosted a Sunset Rooftop Sparkling Wine Tasting with Roebuck Estates, led by Will, a Dulwich local and a regular of ours, featuring four wines, paired with small plates from Trinco for each and one very special bottle of an Unreleased 2020 straight from the vineyard! A wine created during lockdown - just like us!
Roebuck Estates are a British sparkling wine producer located just 50 miles from Dulwich in West Sussex. Sustainability sits at the heart of their entire operating model. Whether it’s using sheep to graze the vineyards in winter, investing in ways to minimise their environmental footprint, or sourcing more eco-friendly materials for their bottles, there is a real sense of care and responsibility behind everything they do.
