Afternoons at Apple Tree

Whether you’re working around naps, nursery or just need somewhere to go when the afternoon suddenly feels very long, we’re now open for play right through the day.

Our weekday afternoon sessions are:

1.15pm–2.45pm
3.15pm–4.45pm

90 minutes of play for them, coffee and a seat for you.

A hot coffee, a free seat and your child happily playing just behind you. It’s a small moment, but it’s the one we love most. Thank you for letting us be part of your week.

With an Apple Tree membership you can come to Herne Hill or Peckham Rye as often as you like.
Members also get 10% off birthday party bookings and 10% off food and drinks every single day. So the flat white is cheaper too.
Your child burns off energy and builds confidence. You sit down with a hot coffee and enjoy it while it’s still hot.
Sign up online and you can start playing straight away. Booking ahead is advisable on busy days. Membership runs on 1 month’s notice to cancel.

The best thing at Apple Tree Children Cafe isn’t on the menu.
Our founder, Emily, wished something like Apple Tree existed when her first child was born. A place to meet other parents and enjoy five minutes in peace, while your baby or toddler explores safely and learns through play.
Since then it’s become something bigger than soft play. It’s mums who walked in not knowing a single face and walked out with a group chat. It’s the parent who just needed to sit down for five minutes without a toddler pulling at their sleeve. It’s a place where showing up alone doesn’t mean staying alone.

We love hosting parties at Apple Tree, and this is a proper thank you to every family who chose to celebrate with us. Watching a room full of children have the best day, while the grown-ups actually get to sit down with a coffee, is exactly why we do this.
