Winner of the UK's Best Independent Restaurant of the Year, 2014. Pat 'Pops' Newland has been serving authentic British fish and chips in London since 1945, and from this he has recreated a restaurant serving one of Britain's best-loved dishes in a friendly setting, surrounded by authentic 1940s/50s memorabilia lovingly curated by Pops himself. Our menu includes sustainably-caught mouth-watering fresh fish cooked in crunchy batter, served with golden chips and classic mushy peas, prepared on the premises by our onsite fishmonger. You can also try the seafood platter, pies, chicken, or traditional east end classics like jellied eels, followed by traditional, indulgent English desserts such as sticky toffee pudding and apple pie. Drinks vary from fruit juices and traditional ginger ale, to carefully-picked wines and locally-sourced beers. Where else can you enjoy free live music with your fish and chips? Let me introduce you to The Poppies Crunch. This isn't a school kid's fish finger sandwich. This is an elevated fish fillet sandwich.

Two Soho favourites, and .london, have teamed up for a limited edition fish fillet sandwich.

Fresh Poppies haddock, fried to order in their signature batter, tucked into Crunch's buttery toasted bread. Homemade tartare sauce, minted mushy peas, pickled onions, lemon, and a generous sprinkle of crispy scraps for that all important crunch. Served with chunky Poppies chips. Because some things shouldn't be messed with.

The Poppies Crunch is available now until 14th October at Poppies, Soho. Go get it before it's gone.
