DUDA is coming West.

Malaysian cooking, full of character, from 17th September. Wed-Sat, 5:30-9:30pm.

”This one’s personal. The Pilgrm sits right next to Paddington Station, right in the middle of London, and it just fits DUDA. Lived-in, eclectic, a little eccentric — like someone’s very cool living room. That’s what we’re bringing with us, all the way from South East to West. Paddington’s already part of our story, so this feels like coming full circle.” — Hakeem, DUDA DINER

The next chapter of our Incubator Kitchen Series is here - and it's travelling west for the very first time.

brings Hakeem and Zura's family-style Malaysian kitchen to The Pilgrm this Autumn, fresh from their hugely popular run at Goodcup in Nunhead. Whole grilled ikan bakar, the Tempoyak Oyster, and the cult DUDA Burger - winner of the 2026 MAGGIcian cooking competition.

The kind of food built around memory, bold flavour and the joy of a shared table. Come hungry.

London's parks and canals in summer are in a league of their own and quite honestly, worth a lot more than just a picnic (although they are good for that too).

A few minutes from The Pilgrm, Hyde Park is a walking exhibition in itself: a sinuous brick pavilion from and the late David Hockney's first show, with extended hours until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays in its final weeks.

Over in Richmond Park, 2,500 acres of nature to stretch your legs, plus 30 sculptures scattered across nearby for you to explore.

And for a regular favourite, turns a stretch of Hackney into one of the city's best markets with bakeries, cheesemongers, wine bars and flower stands bringing a summer atmosphere that is worth the trip.

Summer could be considered one of the best times to visit galleries. No queues, no crowds, just the art. Here's what's worth catching before in the art world before it's gone.

125 Years of : An eight-week free festival across 40 partners in East London, running until 6th September.
kapoor at the .gallery: One of Britain's most celebrated sculptors returns to the Hayward for the first time in almost three decades. The exhibition runs until 18th October.

Modern is pulling double duty this August: First, exhibition, which brings together over 120 works across film, sculpture, photography and performance. It runs 15th July to 17th January 2027.

Second, catch the tail end of A Second Life, which is on until 31st August and one worth seeing before it ends.

Our list would not complete without the annual summer exhibition which is a reflection of all that is exciting and essential in British and international art and architecture at the moment. The exhibition is running until 23rd August.
