FRONTLINE CLUB | CHAMPIONING INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM Frontline Club is a gathering place for journalists, media & their friends.

Founded by Vaughan Smith from his 90s news agency “Frontline Television News”, it was created to support freelance journalism and champion the safety of those who did this as their life’s work. We are a members club, with a public restaurant on the ground floor with private dining and busy events space on the top floor with interesting weekly events that are open to anyone. The club’s very mission

is to champion independent journalism and stimulate public discussion of current affairs. As the foreign news industry’s watering hole, we are informal, edgy and relevant. Norfolk place our newly-refurbished public Restaurant (75 cover) delivers casual fine dining, using local meat and ethically sourced produce. Instead of chasing you down the street with a bucket, we fundraise by selling food and drink, event ticket sales & member bedroom hires & of course by the recruitment of membership that enrich our ever growing community, that as we say in the Club, helps us keep fighting the good fight!

For 18 months, civilians in Sudan’s el-Fasher were trapped under siege as the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces surrounded the western city, cutting off food and escape routes. When the city fell in October, thousands were killed as people tried to flee.

“No Exit from El Fasher” is an intimate look at the survival of civilians who lived through the siege. The documentary follows the stories of three survivors who fled to Uganda.

Join the filmmakers and Sudan experts for a screening and panel discussion on the international response to El Fasher, the role of proxy actors, and accountability for those backing the conflict, including the UAE.

The film follows the stories of Mohammad Ibrahim, a Palestinian-American arrested at the age of 15 for throwing stones, and a former detainee from Gaza whose harrowing testimony details extreme sexual violence. Their accounts reveal the human cost of a detention system that rights groups and former prisoners say operates with impunity.
Filmed across Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Tel Aviv, Florida and London, the documentary examines allegations that these practices are carried out under the authority of Israeli officials, including National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
