A look back at two memorable days, when we had the pleasure of catering the opening celebrations for the launch of V&A East.

Marking the arrival of a new cultural landmark in East London, the celebrations unfolded across multiple floors, each with its own distinct atmosphere. From live bands to DJs, the programme brought the museum’s spirit of creativity and its power to inspire change to life.

Guests enjoyed a selection of summer cocktails and sparkling w**e from NYETIMBER, alongside an assortment of Rocket signature canapés served throughout the back-to-back celebration.

Honoured to have been part of last night’s opening of the much-anticipated Bayeux Tapestry exhibition at the British Museum, welcoming VIP guests to experience one of the world’s most remarkable medieval works of art.
 
For the occasion, our team served a selection of canapés and drinks, alongside seafood and charcuterie food stalls showcasing some of the very best British ingredients.
 
It was an especially meaningful evening for Rocket, having recently been re-accredited as a selected supplier to the British Museum. To be back at such an iconic institution for an exhibition of this significance was a real privilege. 💫
 
The Bayeux Tapestry exhibition opens to the public on 10 September.

Behind every Rocket event is a huge amount of planning, preparation, ingredients and materials — and, inevitably, waste.

From the dishes we serve to everything that goes into producing them, understanding where waste occurs is an important part of reducing it.

This Zero Waste Week, we’re focusing on improving how we measure and understand waste across the business. Working closely with our waste partner, we’re taking a deeper look at the different waste streams we generate, the data behind them, and what happens to those materials after they leave Rocket.

We already work hard to minimise waste wherever we can, but better visibility helps us keep improving and focus our efforts where they can have the greatest impact.

We’ll be sharing more on what we learn, and where we’re focusing next.
