This is Adam. Adam is in Royston Field. Adam is in Royston Field, stood in the spot where the main stage will be and where he will be performing on Saturday at Hopstock.

We're almost ready for a full day of live music, great beer, local food and community celebration as we mark 10 years of Southey Brewing Co. in Penge.

Still on the fence? Here's the thing: you don't need to commit to a whole day. We've even released half-price tickets for entry from 4pm so you can catch the evening atmosphere, grab a beer, see Adam (and Absolute Bowie headline!) and be part of the party.

After months of planning, countless emails, and more spreadsheets than we'd care to admit, here is it: the soundtrack to Hopstock 2026.

From midday right through to closing the show, we've packed two stages with brilliant local talent, festival bangers and a few acts we think you'll be talking about long after the last pint has been poured.

The Main Stage will be expertly steered by the wonderful once more, while the Park Stage offers a slightly more laid-back soundtrack for those looking to kick back with a beer in the sunshine.

We never imagined that a decade later we'd still be here, pouring pints, putting on events and celebrating alongside this incredible community.

Morning

On Wednesday I’ll be heading down to London for a few days, and my first day will be spent exploring Selsdon, Addiscombe, Beckenham, Penge, Anerley and Gipsy Hill. These areas offer a fascinating mix of suburban London life, with Beckenham known for its attractive high street and links to David Bowie, Penge for its Victorian history and proximity to Crystal Palace, and Gipsy Hill for its impressive views across the capital.

I’ll be visiting a number of micropubs and pubs throughout the day to see what the area has to offer.

If I’m planning to pop in and visit you, I’d really appreciate a share of this post — and if you see me out and about, feel free to come and say hello!

We’ve got a busy month ahead of us… and we can’t wait!
🎨 kick the month off with mosaic coasters with Corin Brown (Weds 3rd) and have a double header portrait masterclass with Jonny Kemp (Sat 13th & Sun 14th).
🎭 are back with a Penge Festival Special (Thurs 18th). Two wonderful acts previewing their Edinburgh Shows. Just £3 to guarantee your seat, or free on the night!
🎵 it’s a busy week for live music in Penge at the end of the month. Our Open Mic (Weds 24th) hosted by kicks it off, always a friendly and supportive room. One of our favourite nights of the month!
🧠 Get those thinking caps on with Local Legend, Adam Craig for our monthly Taproom Quiz (Thurs 25th). Bookings are strongly recommended, just £1 per person with all proceeds going to .
🎤 Hopstock 2026 - Our Beer & Music Festival is back on Saturday 27th June on Royston Fields. It’s an event not to be missed, head to the website to book tickets.
✈️ Rounding the month off, Eileen Mahony returns to preview her fourth Edinburgh Show - In Pursuit, Upstairs at the Taproom (Mon 29th). Travel back through time with her. Tickets available via our website.

👋 The Mini Taproom will be out and about at local events in Penge. Find us at the Opening Fete for Penge Festival (Sat 6th) on Royston Fields, and we’ll be at the Pride Picnic (Sat 13th) at Cator Park with .

🖼️ We’re also thrilled to be a stop on the Penge Art Trail again this year! Local artist, Tim Feltham will be exhibiting his artwork at the Taproom from Sat 20th to Sun 28th.

There’s been a change to the line up for today’s Southey Sessions.

Erica is unable to perform this afternoon. We’re incredibly grateful that Will Green has stepped in at short notice to fill her slot. Expect lyrical folk harmonies from one man and his guitar.

🎵 It’s going to be a wonderful day of live music at the Taproom. Pop on down to see wonderful local talent and a sneaky preview of what’s to come at Hopstock.

👋 We’re hiring!

Come and work for the friendliest Taproom in town! If you’ve got a passion for customer service, a love of craft beer, and working in a community focused venue. Then we’d love to hear from you.

🍻 The role will be working within the Taproom team, serving up some of the freshest, local products around both at the Taproom and at Summer Events.
Full training will be provided including all about our beers that are produced on site. We’re looking for a friendly face who will continue to help build and maintain our strong relationships within the community.

Experience is desired but not necessary. All training will be provided.

A part time position with the opportunity of more with events and cover. Weekend availability and a degree of flexibility is preferred.
