Vegan Peanut Punch 🥊
One of my favourite drinks - In my recipe I deep roast the peanuts to get a richer flavour. Having a 1:1 ratio with filtered water and coconut milk, makes it creamy than any original version I’ve had. Serve with lots of ice, a sprinkle of nutmeg and and shot of rum if you’re feeling it. I've had this recipe idea in the back of my mind for ages, it's my homeage to Callaloo patties and my love for caramelised onions.

This dish is Intensively Savoury, Sweet, Smokey - With Buttery. Flaky. Pastry. The earthy garlicy Callaloo compliments to Jam so well. This is a perfect sunday lunch or dinner for loved ones, or something to take to a pot-luck. There's something that's so wonderfully moorish about Callaloo - which I grew up eating with fried dumplings/hard food often without any 'meat' like accompaniment. my three month residency ended on Saturday - saying a massive to BUSTER MANTIS for giving me the space to bring my ideas to life on a plate! And big thank you to everyone that came down during the three months - I’ve got lots of big plans for Dee’s Table in the new year, but I’ll be taking December off to experiment/work on new recipes for the new year! 💚🇯🇲
