House made lemon curd with blackberry compote, Greek yoghurt, honey & our sesame nut granola on the menu this weekend. Blackberries grown on our sister farm, honey made by the busy bees here on Broomfield. All together a wholesome, delicious bowl.

JUST OUTSIDE MEDWAY: Meopham PYO 🍓🌻

A little recommendation from just outside Medway…

We spent this morning at MeophamPYO and, with the sun shining, it turned out to be a pretty lovely way to spend a Saturday morning.

There are rows and rows of strawberries to pick, along with sunflowers, and there’s something particularly satisfying about wandering through the fields and coming away with a punnet you’ve picked yourself. 🍓

But one of our favourite discoveries was what’s waiting alongside the PYO…

White Finch Bakery runs the gorgeous little coffee shop and artisan bakery on site, with a counter absolutely packed with homemade cakes, pastries, cookies, cinnamon buns, sausage rolls and plenty more.

There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the fields, so once you’ve finished picking you can grab a coffee and something from the bakery and sit outside in the sunshine.

It has that slightly hidden away, countryside feel to it, despite being just outside Medway in Meopham, and made for a really nice morning out.

Strawberry picking. Sunflower picking. Coffee. Cake. And a wander around the farm.

Not a bad way to spend a summer Saturday. ☀️🍓🌻
