The Golden Lion SW1Y

The Golden Lion SW1Y The Golden Lion is a treasure of a pub in St James's Welcome to The Golden Lion!

Just a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace, our pub dates back to 1690 and boasts stained glass windows and a dark wood interior. Our 'theatre bar' features memorabilia from the former St James's Theatre and our family-friendly and dog-friendly environment is easily accessible by tube. Enjoy our delicious range of classic dishes and extensive drinks menu, from hand-battered cod and chips to pan seared steaks. With Spencer House and the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Memorial nearby, there's something for everyone at The Golden Lion.
