TOMORROW. WORLD CUP ACTION.

With thanks to Keir for the 90+4 late licence through ball, we’ll be open for England tomorrow night.

Before kick-off, we’ve got a few things to keep you occupied…

Sunday Roasts
12pm–5:30pm.

The menu’s shaping up nicely this week. Round up the family, settle in for a long lunch and spend the afternoon debating score predictions, set pieces and whether the games gone with hydration breaks.

Quiz Night
From 7pm.

Oli’s back in the taproom with this week’s quiz, with a £50 Prince voucher up for grabs for first place (Consider the first round before kick-off sorted)

Then, from 1am, we’ll be showing England v Mexico across the big screen and TVs throughout the pub.

A handful of tables are still available & bookings are encouraged, so drop us a DM or give us a call if you’d like to secure one.

English Wine Week is upon us.

Over the last decade, English wine has quietly become one of the most exciting things happening in the drinks world. Better growing conditions, brilliant winemakers and a willingness to do things differently have produced bottles that can more than hold their own.

To celebrate, we’ll be pouring a handful of our favourites from home soil:

Walgate Wines (East Sussex)
Founded by , formerly of , Walgate produces thoughtful, low-intervention wines that let the vineyard do the talking. Elegant, expressive and one of the most exciting names in English wine right now.

Lost in a Field by Tim Wildman
Part rescue project, part pét-nat obsession. works with forgotten British vineyards to create joyful, naturally sparkling wines packed with character, energy and plenty of fizz.

Forty Hall Vineyard (Enfield)
A familiar face. Community-minded and producing beautifully balanced wines that speak clearly of where they’re grown, which happens to be just up the road from us.

Enmill Field (Hampshire)
Farmed biodynamically by , Enmill Field produces small-batch wines with remarkable purity and a real sense of place. We’ll be pouring his Pinot, and it’s a beauty.

Available by the glass and bottle throughout the week.

Father’s Day this Sunday.

We’ll be serving roasts through until 5pm, with all the meats, all the trimmings and a few bottles of English wine ready for the occasion.

The pubs filling up nicely, so bookings are recommended. As always, we’ll do our best for walk-ins, but can’t guarantee space!

It’s back, tomorrow.

With the bank holiday weather set to hit 30 degrees, we thought we’d shake things up a bit - Rotisserie chicken, ice cream sandwiches and cold pints in the sun.

Sunday 24th, midday until 5pm. Followed by the evening quiz with Oli from 7pm, and open an hour later into the night. 🪁

A real pleasure having .signs working on the design and hand-painting the fascia this week.

Rooted in the original, but sharpened up just enough. Safe to say the place has never looked better.
