Well, after getting absolutely soaked at the end of last year’s Derby trip, we thought we’d already experienced the worst the British weather could throw at us... but the universe clearly had other plans! 🌧️😂
This year brought pouring rain, strong winds, and no gazebos allowed, which meant we spent most of the day trying to dodge the weather and grab every possible dry moment to serve food and drinks. As they say, if you don’t like British weather, just wait five minutes... unfortunately, this time it stayed wet all day!
Despite Mother Nature doing her very best to test us, we made the most of it, just as we do every year. There were still plenty of smiles, laughs, good company, and hopefully a few winning bets along the way.
A huge thank you to everyone who braved the elements and joined us. We know it wasn’t quite the Derby Day we had all hoped for, but we hope you still had a fantastic time and enjoyed our annual trip.
To all our first-time Derby-goers – we promise it’s not always like this! Please don’t let the weather put you off, and we hope to see you all again next year for another unforgettable day at Epsom.
