For the past sixteen years, Rafayel Hotel & Spa has had the privilege of welcoming some of the world’s finest Wimbledon competitors. Over the years we have hosted players from across the Championships, including quarter-finalists, finalists and champions, many of whom have returned to stay with us year after year.

Among our guests have been members of the German Davis Cup team, including their historic 2011 and 2012 quarter-finalists, as well as German quarter-finalists in 2016. We have also welcomed finalists, including a women’s finalist in 2024. Many international players have chosen Rafayel as their home during Wimbledon because they know they will find comfort, privacy and a team that genuinely cares.

This year, we had the special honour of hosting Guy Sasson for fifteen days.

Guy is one of the world’s outstanding wheelchair tennis champions. His journey is a remarkable story of determination, resilience and excellence. Rising to World No. 3 in singles and World No. 4 in doubles, he has won Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open, establishing himself among the greatest players in wheelchair tennis.

Looking after a champion of this calibre is a privilege. Looking after someone with additional physical needs requires even greater attention, empathy and understanding. Great hospitality is not simply about providing a room—it is about anticipating needs, removing obstacles and allowing every guest to perform at their very best.

Over sixteen years, our greatest reward has never been the list of famous names who have stayed with us. It has been the trust they place in our team, returning year after year and making Rafayel Hotel & Spa their Wimbledon home.
