Please excuse the bearer of this note from work today.

Following a thorough assessment, they have been diagnosed with Acute Football Fixture Syndrome (AFFS).

Symptoms include:

* An overwhelming urge to watch the match.
* Inability to concentrate on spreadsheets, emails, or meetings.
* Repeatedly checking the score every 30 seconds.
* Sudden thirst that can only be treated with a pint at The Adam & Eve.
* Loud celebrations (or dramatic sighs) depending on the result.

Prescribed Treatment:

Immediate release from work to attend The Adam & Eve Pub to watch the football in the company of fellow supporters.

Recovery Plan:

* 90 minutes of football (plus added time).
* Appropriate refreshments as required.
* Post-match analysis with mates.
