October has arrived at Pizza 1889 🍕
The evenings are darker, the ovens feel warmer and we’ve got some properly autumnal flavours heading your way.

This month we’ve got three new October specials, including a Pumpkin & Pancetta pizza with a pumpkin base made from scratch in our kitchen.

We’ll be taking you behind the scenes to show you more of the work that goes into our ingredients, introducing another Hero of the Month and bringing you plenty of pizza making, kitchen life and staff antics along the way.

And, of course, October means Halloween 🎃

Autumn is officially here. We think pizza weather might be too.

FRIARIELLI. 🇮🇹 Know what it is?

A proper Neapolitan favourite — leafy greens with a distinctive, slightly bitter flavour that pairs brilliantly with sausage.

And that’s exactly what we’ve done with it. 🍕

Our SPECIAL 2 – NEAPOLITAN SAUSAGE & FRIARIELLI starts with a white base, topped with Neapolitan sausage, friarielli, smoked provola and finished with chilli flakes.

Rich, smoky, a little spicy and very Italian.

If you’ve never tried friarielli before, this is a pretty good place to start. 👀

Our dough is made fresh, by hand, because the base of a great pizza deserves just as much attention as what goes on top of it.
Mixed. Rested. Divided. Rolled into dough balls. Then left to do its thing.
It doesn’t get much fresher than that.
