An unforgettable first day

We’ve been delighted to share a selection of Ixchel’s signature dishes with guests, alongside our Taste of London exclusive: grilled lamb with pistachio mole, created especially for the festival.

The energy has been incredible, and we’re immensely proud of our team, whose passion and dedication have made the opening day such a success.

Join us throughout the weekend, and on Saturday at 8pm, don’t miss our Head Chef Ximena at the Taste Fire Pit, the flame-fuelled centrepiece of Taste of London, where she’ll be celebrating the craft of cooking over fire.

Tomorrow, we arrive at with an exclusive festival menu that celebrates the depth, craftsmanship and regionality of Mexico’s culinary heritage.

Head Chef Ximena introduces our Beetroot Tostada a composition of roasted beetroot, labneh, Mexican za’atar and lemon skin, capturing the balance of tradition and contemporary technique that defines Ixchel.

Created exclusively for Taste of London, our menu features signature dishes alongside a curated selection of tacos and plates that showcase the bold flavours at the heart of our kitchen.

Behind the scenes of our latest Tacos With Friends collaboration.

Head Chef Ximena teamed up with food writer and FERMENT author to bring fermentation into conversation with Ixchel’s Mexican cooking. The result? A limited-edition taco layered with miso salmon, watermelon rind kimchi, fermented rhubarb hot sauce and crisp fermented shoestring fries.

Only 20 portions available each Tuesday evening.

This summer, Ixchel welcomes award-winning agave bar HACHA for an exclusive takeover of our Nocturna Lounge in Chelsea from 18th June — 31st August.

Together, we’ll be introducing a specially curated cocktail menu featuring HACHA signatures, celebrated classics, and of course... the iconic Mirror Margarita.

Chelsea in Bloom brought an out-of-this-world moment to Ixchel, as we partnered with and .lab for a truly immersive celebration.

Guests explored our Código cocktail menu while discovering standout pieces from The Diamond Lab, before stepping into something a little more cosmic with readings from the perfectly echoing this year’s Chelsea in Bloom “Out of This World” theme.

Tacos With Friends returns to Ixchel this May with a special collaboration from food writer and FERMENT author Kenji Morimoto.

Together with Ximena, Kenji has created a limited-edition taco layered with miso salmon, watermelon rind kimchi, fermented rhubarb hot sauce and crisp fermented shoestring fries - bringing bold fermentation, deep umami and unexpected texture into conversation with Ixchel’s Mexican cooking.

Available from 26th May, with only 20 portions served each Tuesday evening.
