Situated in the heart of Petts Wood, Indian Essence showcases traditional Indian Cuisine with a pathbreaking menu that is sure to excite its discerning clientele, yet satisfy traditional palates. Atul Kochhar, Chef/Patron of Benares restaurant in Mayfair has teamed up with fellow restaurateur Jitindar Singh to create a menu that presents classic Indian flavours in innovative new ways, with an extensive a la carte menu complemented by a trio of set menus, and a tasting menu designed to broaden the understanding of Indian cooking and its wide-ranging possibilities.

Our team have been busy in the kitchen creating new summer dishes and what’s more naughty than a summer dessert.

Here’s our dreamy light Pistachio Milk Cake, served in rabdi milk, topped with seasonal berries.

Our Payasam Tart was hugely popular at our regional supper club, so it’s now on the menu accompanied by burnt jaggery, black pepper ice cream and summer berries.

Our White Negroni is a fragrant twist on the iconic aperitif, infused with tulsi (holy basil) and cardamom, and made using St-Germain and Martini Extra Dry Vermouth. Herbal, floral, and delicately spiced, it’s a serve that bridges timeless European elegance with vibrant Indian botanicals.
