Today I was in the kitchen and finally decided to make a banoffee pie for dessert. It turned out to be a very productive day, ticking quite a few things off the list, but making this pie was something I had been meaning to do for a long time.
As I was putting it all together, it took me back to the days when I first started working with Neil and Eddie at the Treehouse. Funny how food can bring back such wonderful memories. Those were great times, full of hard work, laughter, friendship, and lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career.
After more than 30 years working in kitchens and restaurants, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some incredible people and create amazing memories along the way. So I’m tagging a few old friends here as a little reminder of the good old days.
