☀️ BBQ SUNDAYS
🍖 Grills
🥗 Salads
⚔️ Skewers

Replacing the Sunday Roasts in both sites for June, July & August but testing this Sunday (31st May) to limited covers as we will probably c**k something up because I’ve apparently only given the guys four days notice. They should stop complaining now tbh, getting boring now.

Utkarsh’s Tandoori chicken, beef kofta, sticky pork belly, BBQ prawns & aioli, miso aubergine and as much salad as you like.

“It sounds like summer time”

Worst stag do ever.

Thank-you for continuing to trust us with these mad pop-up ideas that we usually come up with half cut.

Pol Roger? More like Putney Roger - you wiped us out by 5pm are were happy to have it served by a man dressed as a hotdog.

Stay classy Putney ❤️

(Thankyou for the half time refreshments)

We stole this from McDonald’s after our last staff party but we are also selling Pol Roger by the glass at our next pop-up.

Over the years, Home has been shaped by some exceptional people. My best mate Freddie (with the hat), French Fredi, little Foz and big head Odaine to name a few. I would say Alex but he left me…twice.

But sat quietly in the background of all these big personalities, this guy has been instrumental in setting the standard at Home over the years.

I still remember his first interview when he wore his best school uniform style trousers because he had googled “what do people who work in hospitality wear?” - his words, not mine.

Over the past 5 years he has become the one constant and the cornerstone of Putney. In this industry it’s quite rare to find someone with such loyalty who will never let you down. (Unless it’s the morning after a staff party and he’s trying to break his own record of being 6 hours late)

So today is all about Hansen. We put him on a double then poured him a glass of champagne as he walked through the door, made him some breakfast then sent him packing as we’ve booked him in to a 1 ⭐️ tonight as our way of saying thankyou - please look after our star boy!

Hansen Makes Home.

There’s an ongoing rivalry between Putney & Barnes but Utkarsh may have started a war with this.

Alphonso mango is bang in season and so Utkarsh has chosen violence by challenging / changing Adrian’s Basque cheesecake.

He’s done it with mango - inside the mix, in the crème fraiche and some diced for freshness.

Limited time only until Adrian finds out and we have it out like millwall and west ham next season. Just less fighting and more flambéing.

So why are we really doing this?

(The DPD van in the merguez picture is doing my nut in but I’m trying to not let it ruin my day)

It’s not for the influencers. It’s for the locals.

1986 started as a fun offer as part of Restaurant Month with the but it’s turned in to so much more.

I’m not going to bore you with the rising costs chat as you’ve heard it enough but it’s hard for you lot too. (Maybe less so in Barnes to be fair with the size of some of your houses…)

Regardless of how much we are getting battered by the government, it’s still our job to keep eating out affordable and so 1986 is now launching in the evenings for an early supper.

But we need to work together on this for it to work. We need to flood the place early doors so we make some sort of cash margin as the GP is obviously horrible. So if you’re sat in your pants one day about to order a Nando’s on Deliveroo, remember, it’s going to cost you more than £20.

Put your trousers on, you don’t even have to shower, we don’t care, and get yourself down here. And that goes for any local business to be honest that’s offering an entry point that works with your budget.

It will get better but let’s play the hand we’ve all be dealt at the moment ❤️

Launching Mon 18th May

A pop-up born out of lockdown.

Who would have thought that slinging tacos and margaritas in a desperate attempt to stay afloat during the covid era would become part of our DNA.

Every weekend out on the terrace was something we genuinely looked forward to, apart from the 100000000 hand written orders. Tacos by the handful and margaritas by the pint, off you guys went to the park (or perched on the wall by the closed …sorry guys! 😳)

As I’ve said in the past, we will only put our weight behind pop ups that mean something to us and this one, probably means the most.

One a year we reminisce with a pop-up for the ages and drink 36 margaritas after shift talking about what a mad mental time that was.

Bookings open via link in bio!

A raw, unedited report from Liam in Putney last night.

“No matter how busy or quiet we are, I can say we make peoples good days the best they can be, and their harder times just that bit easier”

Thursday 23rd April
BOOKED: 42
WALK INS: 16
TOTAL: 58

(A service with no marked assassinations, apart from the people sharing a single starter and sides. Just full of joyous people that are part of this restaurant. This is what it’s all about. Oh, and the beignets are back)

22/04/2026

When will this government listen?

21/04/2026

Last week he lobbed a mars bar across the restaurant floor straight in to my cup of coffee and ruined my day yet today he can’t land a spoon in a pan.

Went for dinner last month at the fabulous by and had quite possibly the best dessert I’ve ever eaten.

Well this is the rip off temu version. Served table side with a big dollop of whisky cream.

It’s ridiculous. It’s delicious. It’s not our idea at all. We’re sorry. Come try it or go for the proper version in Edinburgh.

We are terrible at communicating menu changes. We do a tasting, take loads of pictures and then somebody pi**es me off with coffee order that should result in jail time and this takes precedence on here. An outrageous way to run an Instagram / business.

We change the menu every 6 to 8 weeks and going forward for 2026 we promise to tell you about it in advance so you can get booked in and not miss out.

Here are some dishes coming up for May & June…

1️⃣ Chicken forestiere, morels & sauté potatoes
2️⃣ Puglia stracciatella, courgette, smoked almonds & mint
3️⃣ A bowl of Shetland mussels with wild garlic leaf butter

🚀 Launching 1st May!

14/04/2026

He hates us. You’ll have to just come to his paella pop up on the 4th to try it. He’s upset now - today is going to be a long day.

13/04/2026

You lot couldn’t make up your mind so we are doing both ffs.

📅 Monday 4th May (Bank holiday madness)
⏰ AFD & AFN

Barnes - Tapas & Paella with Adrian 🇪🇸
Putney - Nachos & Tacos with Alex 🇷🇴

(Adrian’s family paella is next level. Alex is Romanian but the amount of times I’ve come to work to find him wearing that sombrero, even on a random Monday whilst doing stock take fml, he may as well be Mexican. He also makes a mean spicy margs)

Bookings live tomorrow at 10am sharp! Where are you choosing? Putney or Barnes?

People Make Home - Marina ❤️ 🇬🇷

Monday was our biggest pop up on record. 246 covers. And it was all down to Marina.

We will never do a pop up we can’t put our weight behind. That’s why you’ll never see us taking part in “national sausage week” or “national toad in the hole Tuesdays”

It’s not our bag. We don’t have the knowledge and we aren’t going to pretend we have an undying passion for sausage or pie or any other “national day” just to make money.

Instead we lean in to the people around us, be that front or back of house, and Marina epitomised everything we stand for on Monday. Passionate, knowledgeable and a drive (even though she did my head in about dill being in the Greek salad five minutes in) to ensure we stayed true to her native cuisine. We took the dill out.

This is the only picture I managed to take before we knocked out 246 gyros (and then drank my weight in Alpha lager after service) but it was the rolls-Royce of bank holiday pop ups.

Thank-you for continuing to trust us not to f**k up one of these days. May bank holidays are just around the corner… Tacos or Paella?
