🎺 Well, that was quite a night at The Scolt!
This week we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming New York jazz legend Joe Magnarelli to our little stage, and what a magical evening it turned out to be.

Joe and his fellow musicians were on spectacular form, bouncing off one another and filling the pub with the kind of jazz that makes you forget about your pint for a moment. And when that trumpet started singing, even the chatter from the bar didn’t stand a chance. Now THAT is saying something at The Scolt. 🍻

We love bringing extraordinary musicians to our stage, from exciting new talent to old favourites and internationally celebrated artists. Great music, a packed pub and that wonderful feeling of being part of something special. It’s what our live nights are all about.

A huge thank you to Joe and the band for a truly memorable evening, and to everyone who came along and made it such a joy.

Here’s to many more nights like this. 🎶🖤

The great summer heatwave appears to have packed its bags. Frankly, all that relentless sunshine was interfering with my napping schedule.

The Scolt has settled back into a gentler rhythm during the day. I can once again occupy my favourite spots and manage the pub from whatever perch I choose.

Today I’m on window duty. Watching De Beauvoir go by, keeping an eye on the staff and contemplating whether it’s too early to start demanding the heating be turned on.

Autumn is coming. The pints are pouring. The armchairs are waiting. And, obviously, so am I.

Come and see me. Strokes and cuddles at my discretion of course. You may bring dogs, although I continue to question why. 🖤
