Quince season is here and we’re making the most of this autumn fruit while it’s at its peak, typically from September through November. Firm and tart when raw, quince softens as it cooks, becoming fragrant, floral and gently sweet.

Our Quince Crumble with Earl Grey Custard is made with quince from Natoora. It’s filled with baked earl grey custard and quince jam, then topped with poached quince, oat and buckwheat crumble, earl grey diplomat and borage.

Our new autumn menu has arrived at Portobello and Acton.

New to the counter, and available daily, we have the Spinach & Ricotta Swirls, Ham & Cheese, Quince Crumble with Earl Grey Custard, and the Apple Compote, Hazelnut Mousse & Crumble Bow Tie from our recent collaboration with 26 Grains. The Fig & Ricotta is staying on the menu too.
Pictured alongside are some familiar favourites, including the Morning Bun and Pistachio & Dark Chocolate Pain Suisse.

Our weekend specials include the Chocolate & Hazelnut Croissant Tarts and Blackberry & Vanilla Flans.

It’s fig season, and new to our autumn menu is the Fig & Ricotta.

Within the croissant shell, we have a slice of honey cake, a layer of fig jam, topped with a dollop of whipped ricotta and fresh figs.

We’ll have this pastry on the counter at both Portobello and Acton daily throughout September.
