You might've noticed that some of The Canvas: Shoreditch team has now moved to Sydenham - and although we all miss our Shoreditch cafe + community desperately đź’› - we are happy to be meeting our new and growing community in Sydenham đź’š

Back in July we loved having comedians like Aaron Simmonds and President Obonjo, Sooz Kempner and Lucy Frederick, Vix Leyton and Phil Simon join us for their Edinburgh Fringe previews. We wish them all the best as Edfringe 2022 begins… meanwhile our August events begin tomorrow! Join us this month every Thursday and Saturday for a different event and kids events on Sunday afternoons! We’ve had such fun this month with a wide range of events happening in our community hub. Tomorrow we round off July with not one but two events in one day! We kick off our kids events tomorrow with comedy club for kids at 3pm (parents also welcome!) then at 6pm come learn how to Lindy hop! A dance taster evening will guide you through the basics of one of London’s most popular social dances. No partner or experience needed! This Saturday we have not one but TWO events for you to enjoy! At 3pm on 30th July, the kids get a dose of comedy with School’s Out Comedy and comedian Phil Simon. Mums and Dads are welcome too! Bring your favourite jokes to join in!
