We had a VERY special guest today - our very own Shazza!

This is her first trip to the woods since her dramatic heart to heart episode 6 weeks ago ❤️

And as most of you know, after our 5 amazing years together at the helm of The Cherry Tree Cafe, Sharon Hall/ Paddy Sharon/ Little Sharon/ Sharoo, has hung up her apron (and the nose peg she sports when doing the bins) to welcome in life’s next, less hectic adventures ❤️

We all miss that cackling filthy laugh 😆, her creative use of language 😉, surprisingly strong hugs, the love, fun and kindness she brings to everyone in spades.

But as we didn’t get a chance to give her a proper send off and she didn’t get to squeeze the bejesus out of so many of you, we’re having her come down next Friday at 3pm. So please if you can make it, pop down for a glass. All welcome! I have it on good authority that the sun will have his hat back on. ☀️😎

This is a personal - I would 100 per cent vouch and thank this lady forever - recommendation for primary school tutor Anne Marie Thirlwall.

Anne Marie specialises in tutoring children who may struggle at school - perhaps with additional needs - dyslexia, ADHD, ASD or maybe just need a little extra nurturing and time.

Her pastoral care and understanding of each child is next to none. She helped my son Henry flourish when he was very much floundering and brought him up to the level he needed to be at. To watch his confidence grow under her guidance is something I’ll be eternally grateful for. And to the person who recommended Anne Marie to me when I was so racked with worry.

So universe … if someone out there, who lives locally needs help with primary school age tuition … voila 😘

And huge thanks also for the generosity of and The Children’s Book Project

Without this amazing support we couldn’t offer a free Santa grotto visit and present to our local children. At a time when the cost of living makes this time of year so hard for so many, it’s massively appreciated! ❤️❤️🙌🏼🙌🏼

And for those parents who can spare it and have donated £5 per child - that money goes DIRECTLY to ❤️❤️

I’ve said it before but we really do have the best and most supportive local community. We’re so lucky ❤️❤️
