This is a message to our customers and our community.
As you are all aware there are rising costs everywhere.
I am sure everyone s outgoings has increased in the last 5 years. Your utilities, supermarket bill, clothing. This is not different for us as a business. Every year, every month, sometimes every week as well we are faced with increased prices. Sometimes we absorb these increases as you cannot really change your prices weekly. But there is a limit to how much we can absorb and also a limit to what a customer is willing to pay for a coffee or a pastry.
This year again our utilities are rising, our insurance, the minimum wage, contributions, more taxes, business rates, supplies, literally everything.
We have recently increased some of our prices, please be kind it s not something we enjoy doing. We are not greedy, we are only trying to keep up with everything. The 10 p increase of a product will cost you only £3 extra per month, to us it will cover a major part of all the increases. Not all of it, we will still take the hit, as we are trying to keep our prices reasonable.
There are not a lot of places in London where you can still get a latte for £3.5. Please understand the costs of a small business. You might be seeing a shop busy thinking it makes a fortune. Think again how much of those takings are actually expenses!
