The George Public House

Welcome back to The George - an 18th century, Grade II listed building in the heart of Fitzrovia. If pubs could talk, this one would have a lot to say.

The George is an 18th century, Grade II listed pub on Great Portland Street, Fitzrovia. Across two floors, we offer a food and drink menu befitting of a modern London public house. As a central hub for the political, cultural and social movements of the late 18th century, home to writers and poets in the 20th century, and in recent years, a favourite haunt of locals and travellers alike, The George has seen it all. Join us for great Guinness, Irish Whiskey and Irish Coffees, served alongside cask ales, craft beers, seasonal cocktails, an extensive wine list, and food served all day.
