Yesterday, I was blessed to spend the day on shoot with as he captured an incredible wealth of photos of our pop-up menu . The kindness and positivity Nic has shown me is truly humbling and I’m really excited to share more of his mastery in the days to come.

Always a proud moment when family comes to visit. A glowing review from my bro and sister-in-law after their lunch on Saturday which makes the sweat and tears worthwhile.

Week one done . Thank you to faces new and familiar gracing us thus far. It’s not been without its challenges, putting it mildly but we finally hit our stride by Saturday and the lunchtime buzz in the pub felt extremely gratifying.
Two rad dudes and helping me this week (and beyond), keeping me grounded, well-humoured and not too much of a grumpy s**t (maybe). being an absolute rock, absorbing my stress and turning it back on me with confidence building affirmations.
Very happy with the food going up on the pass. Sold out of Tattie Mince Noodles (pictured). It’s the Scottish-Cambodian flavour bomb that nobody asked for but everyone wanted.
Week two already looking brighter. See you at the pub .

Happy 💪🏽 In particular we celebrate one woman without whom there would be no Mamapen. She’s the glue that binds us, the empathetic spirit that guides us and the best Cambodian cook and jeans taker upper on the planet.
During a week of setbacks, it’s from my mum’s resilience that I draw inspiration and gain a healthy dose of perspective. Time to dust off, reset and go again! .

It’s moving in day! Six week stint starting this evening from 5pm.
I have never been so engrossed in a project. Keeping Jeff Bezos’ empire afloat by spending funds I didn’t think I had. Instagram is telling me the smart move would be to move up North and sell baked spuds to queues of Tik Tok beguiled travellers but no, we’re keeping to the evangelical mission of slinging Cambodian food from a pub kitchen.
Risky business. Bills to pay. Weddings to attend (why always with the weddings?!). But trust me, you’ve not had chicken until you’ve had Mamapen chicken. Come on!!! Let’s do this!!! .
