You may have wondered why the seating at Bracha consists of communal benches and there’s a simple answer for it: Community. Kibbutzim are all about community and the chadar ochel or dining hall is always a place to catch up with friends old and new and socialise. We wanted Bracha to have the same vibe. Already, we have witnessed our customers chatting to strangers who sit next to them on the benches and getting to know new people 🙏🏼

אז מה הבריטים הכי אוהבים להזמין במזל?

כשבריטים מתאהבים במטבח הישראלי והים-תיכוני, הם לא בהכרח מחפשים את מה שאנחנו מדמיינים כ"הכי אותנטי", אלא את מה שמרגיש להם נכון בתוך עולם הטעמים שהם כבר מכירים. עם הזמן מתחילים להיווצר דפוסים ברורים: הזמנות שחוזרות על עצמן, בחירות קבועות, הרגלים.

הדוגמה הכי טובה היא הראפ. הבריטים פשוט מתים על ראפ. בכל בית קפה יש ראפ, בכל מקרר משרדי תמצאו ראפ, ואחרי לילה של שתייה בפאב הם עומדים בתור לשווארמה בראפ מפוקפק. תכלס, יש בזה היגיון. הראפ, או הלאפה אצלנו, הוא פתרון מעולה: נוח, מחזיק הכול, נאכל ביד. לא מפתיע ששווארמה בראפ היא אחת הבחירות הכי פופולריות אצל בריטים גם אצלנו במזל.

גם החציל מקבל הרבה כבוד. עבור בריטים רבים זה ירק "מיוחד", כזה שלא תמיד יודעים או רוצים להתעסק איתו בבית, מה שהופך אותו אוטומטית לאוכל של מסעדות. הרטטוי חצילים שלנו מככב בהזמנות.

הסיגר המרוקאי הוא עוד דוגמה למנה שבריטים אימצו, כנראה כי מצד אחד זו מנה שהם לא ממש מכירים, ומצד שני בכל זאת מדובר באוכל מטוגן שאפשר לנשנש לצד השתייה (בירה מאלט היא הפופולרית ביותר).

ובקינוח, כמעט תמיד הולכים על בטוח. שטרודל תפוחים, שמזכיר קרמבל תפוחים שהם מכירים ואוהבים, מנחם, מוכר, וסוגר פינה.

Bracha is now officially open! Well… from Sunday 21st of December it will be and we invite all of you to attend our opening. Pop into Bracha on Sunday 21st of December for some music, some delicious samples and all round good vibes to celebrate us opening up full time 🎉🎉

It’s a blessing (if you’ll pardon the pun) to know that we get to serve both the Camden community with Mazal and now the Golders Green community with Bracha. We are excited to see what’s to come 😍
