This weekend will be our last so we want to celebrate it with ALL of you ♥︎

We are running a barbecue all weekend, with Saturday kept as a day for anyone and everyone and Sunday for industry and family&friends mostly (but come whenever you can)

After 10 years of our Sager + Wilde on Paradise Row, I have made the decision to close the restaurant on it’s 10th birthday.

A lot has shifted in the years since opening and I feel that now is the right time for the focus to move from the restaurant to my other ventures: the original the new neighbourhood wine that opened in Victoria Park this February; the cocktail bar and my wine import company . Although it is with sadness that I am losing the restaurant, myself and my teams are very excited for the coming chapters of the bars and the import business.

We have had many members of staff and countless customers walking through our doors in the decade we’ve been open, all of whom have made the restaurant a very special place to be a part of. There are too many people to individually thank for their patronage and service over this time, but I feel very grateful for everyone who has made the space what it is. I would however like to take the opportunity to thank a few important senior people who helped me navigate the ship during what sometimes seemed an impossible storm to get out of :

I hope that those of you with fond memories of the restaurant are able to come pay us a final visit in these 2 weeks, our final day of trade will be on Saturday 10th August. If not, we hope to see you very soon at Sager + Wilde Wine Bar, Equal Parts or Bruno.

As a little thank you, anyone booking in with the mention of “10years” in their booking notes will get a free cocktail on us, from today until the 10th of August, which will mark our exact 10th anniversary and last service. I’m filled with joy to be closing this business on a high, with the same amount of intent and love I opened it with 10 years ago.

NB x TN 2021, Nino Barraco & Tanca Nica

A collab that shines! Two producers in a project of passion from their land, blending winemaking skills and showing a saline frizzante full of layers.

The aim was to create a wine that links the territory of Marsala on the mainland and the volcanic island of Pantelleria.

The wine is centered composed of Nino’s Catarrato grape from Marsala, near to Lo Stagnone Lagoon, where only a few meters separate the vines from the sea. Them, the famous Passulata from Tanca Nica, made from the 1931 zibibbo plot in Bonsulton’s ‘terra forte’, was shipped by boat from Pantelleria to Sicily, added to the Catarrato still wine for the second natural fermentation in the bottle.

Complex with stone fruits notes, dried flowers, smoked apricot with hints of honey and almonds. Little lively fizz, an intense fruity palate with vivacious saline and a touch of dried fruits in the aftertaste.

• Staffelter Hof ‘Panda Party’ 2022, A Pét-Nat from Mosel with citrus notes with a vigorous and refreshing lemongrass finish.
• Masseria Del Pino ‘Superluna’ 2019, a serious, elegant and layered rosé, velvet with notes of maraschino cherry.
• From Burgundy, Delhomme ‘Vignes de La Justice’ 2022 is Rocky, mineral, and supple. this fascinating Chardonnay is filled with golden apples and ripe pears.
• Jaufré Mas ‘La Trutruka’ 2022, It’s a vibrant and aromatic Gamay from Auvergne, a pretty juicy expression!

Vins et Volailles!

This project was founded by Fleur Godart, and it was yet after another quarrel over natural wine and feminism that she decided in 2020 to launch a range of “activist cuvées” in collaboration with renowned winemakers and friends.

Fleur brings us this incredible cuvée, this time a collaboration with the iconic Athenaïs de Béru.
Witches 2018 is made from Gamay from the granite soils of Brouilly and shows us a fragrant wine full of violets, blueberries and touches of herbs with a vibrant palate with a long finish.

Each Wine and label is designed by Justine st Lo and they use the opportunity to call out the overly patriarchal and misogynistic attitude of the wine industry and society at large.

Bitter and sweet, with a velvety mouthfeel. Perfect for these sunny spring days. Named for the general who contributed to the unification of north + south Italy, the color of the drink alludes to the red shirts worn by Garibaldi’s followers. The ingredients also reflect the unification—Campari hails from the north, and southern Italy is famous for its oranges.
